Jennifer was raised in Centralia, a small farming community located in rural, northeastern Kansas. After graduating high school in 1991, she first attended Kansas State University, and then later the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy. It was during that time in which she lived in Lawrence, that Jennifer was first exposed to independent pharmacy with a part time job at Orchards Drug. "Those first experiences at Orchards really helped formulate the type of pharmacist that I wanted to be, namely, a caring, knowledgeable, and professional resource for my patients." Following graduation in 1996, Jennifer began working in the pharmacy of a local El Dorado supermarket.
Wanting to get back to independent community pharmacy, Jennifer came to TrueCare Pharmacy in 2005. Jennifer states, “My favorite part of practicing pharmacy at El Dorado TrueCare Pharmacy is finding ways to meet the needs of our patients, physicians and community. “ Jennifer has developed a vaccine program that started with a single shingles vaccine and has turned into a program that offers many other vaccines such as Flu and Covid-19 Vaccines. Additionally, patients requested our assistance with compounded medications and Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy options. Jennifer became trained and now consults patients on different Hormone Replacement therapies and leads the compounding team that now offers compounded products that are not available commercially, including for young children and pets. Jennifer adds, “My hope is that by forming relationships with patients and physicians, we become THE trusted resource when it comes to providing pharmaceutical care in El Dorado and Butler County.”
In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys golf, visiting the El Dorado YMCA and area walking paths , supporting local schools and businesses and, most importantly, spending time with family. She and her husband have 2 boys who are now in college.
